The Playing with Sounds series was created to meet the needs of our early childhood community. Playing With Sounds – Phonics 1 is intended for use with 3-4-year-olds. This workbook is aligned with the Jamaica Early Childhood Curriculum (JECC) and serves as a portfolio of students’ phonics development at that age level, enabling practitioners to assess milestones throughout the year. The activitiesintegrate curriculum themes, as it treats the fundamentals of phonetic development. With a clear structure that aligns with lesson delivery, the workbooks help educators seamlessly incorporate the 5Es and 4Cs into their planning.
