Key Features:

• Story Time Students are given a simple story or scenario that may be used for several purposes. For example, the fill-in-the-blank approach is used to teach or reinforce a specific concept.
• Reading Is Fun! Students are given a short factual or fictional piece of writing that provides a context for testing their comprehension skills or a discrete phonetic concept.
• Let’s Write! Students are given an opportunity to either write freely or in a controlled context to test the specific skills being taught.
• Word Wall/Build Your Vocabulary This is an activity in which students identify sight words; words they are able to say correctly without needing to sound them out.
• Fun and Games These are paper-based games that give students an opportunity to play while reinforcing the lessons and concepts covered.
