Developing Proficiency in CXC English A Paper 1 is a compilation of fifteen (15) practice tests of multiple choice items, aimed at achieving the following objectives:

• To familiarize students with the various types of questions that appear in Paper 1 of the CXC English A Examination
• To provide practice in the application of a range of strategies and skills relevant to the elements of language
• To develop confidence in student’s ability to negotiate specific types of questions
