Description

Creative Writing Grade 1 is the first in a series of five books which engages students through activities that require higher order thinking skills, such as analysis, interpretation, evaluation and synthesis as they progress through each lesson. The different genres of writing explored in this series are descriptive writing, fictional stories, personal narratives, narrative-descriptive stories, letters, expository essays, persuasive essays, poems and book reports. Each genre is introduced by a model and taught using a process-oriented approach. The steps introduced are Pre-writing, Drafting, Revising, Proofreading and Publishing. This text is also laden with various types of activities to give learners adequate practice for new topics introduced and help learners enhance their writing abilities.
