The notes found within this book, on one of the selected novels, for the CSEC English B examinations (2023-2028) – For the Life of Laetitia, were aimed at encouraging students’ interest and fostering their understanding of the text. The notes aim at clearing up any ‘grey areas’ in the text so the story becomes more accessible and enjoyable for the student.
In no way should these notes be used as a substitute for the text or as factual statements which are irrefutable. All of the analyses, character portraits and thematic constructs were supported by quotations from the text.
