The Leap into Social Studies: A Level One Textbook was created out of a need to provide teachers and students with a comprehensive Social Studies resource material relating to the National Standards Curriculum(NSC). This text is designed to grab the attention and maintain the interests of students while entertaining them. In addition it aims to challenge them while they are developing the higher order skills such as analysis, critical thinking and interpretation.  It can be used alongside the Leap into Social Studies: A Level One Workbook to further enhance the teaching-learning process.

This textbook provides resource material and exercises geared towards widening the students’ knowledge o the various topics covered by the Social Studies NSC; while developing skills necessary for academic excellence.
